Tales of the Otori – Book II Grass for his pillow… Le Clan des Otori, II Les Neiges de l’exil – Lian Hearn

From now on heir of the powerful Otori clan, Takeo joined the criminals of the Tribes, with which he made an agreement. Thus he disavows his peaceful education and gives up in the same time what returns rightly to him : territory, fortune, capacity, but also his love for Kaede. But can a tale, whatever it is, destroy this love? Can the Tribe move away Takeo from its destiny? He will choose the danger, the test and the sacrifice, and will find himself in the frozen mountains of the Country of the Medium. During this time Kaede, useful pawn in the play of Lords of the war, will have to use with intelligence, beauty and tenacity to impose herself in the world of the all-powerful men, and to maintain her invaluable secret. After a first incredible book, we are once again involved in one (well, two intersected stories) by Lian Hearn who can make clash poetry and violence to the perfection. Between fantastic tale and adventure novel this continuation of the Tales of the Otori is absolutely to read…
