Comme un manouche sans guitare – Thomas Dutronc
Dutronc. Viennent ensuite sa timidité pleine d’assurance mâtinée d’un humour spécifiquement made in Dutronc.
Y me encontré – ¡y sigo siendolo! – encantada.
Dutronc. Of course the first time I realized he was “the son of” – ok the two French icons Jacques Dutronc and Françoise Hardy – I don’t really made attention or have the curiosity to go discover the artist. I however discovered the man in many talk shows. And there I am under the charm! First of all his face who have this indefinable thing definitively charming. Then his timidity full of insurance with a humour made in Dutronc. From there my decision is taken : I have to discover the artist. Soms clicks and a visit at the FNAC and I am in possession of the album (the first) of this artist whose career as actor and musician of jazz started in a relatively anonymous way. Jazz, the world is here and its intonations are present in the album. And more specifically gypsy jazz (yes Thomas is a fan of the famous Django Reinhardt!) to which the artist pays a large homage on this album through several pieces without popularize this kind. But the more spectacular is to have succeeded to mix jazzy and pop melodies and Thomas Dutronc makes it perfectly, the whole with splendid texts proportioning humour and emotions. Remain to me to discover it on scene since everybody say he is genial here too, but if I summarize we have for the moment : excellent music, charm, humour, emotions, nostalgia, excellent guitarist… euh… if you want all the women, I want you! Well I have to calm myself and I go to listen the album. And you should do as well!...
