Páez es uno de los artistas más importante del rock argentino y
latinoamericano. Sin embargo me parece imposible hablar de él sin
mencionar a otro ícono : Charly García. Tal es la influencia
de éste sobre Fito que le rindío tributo colocandole además como
carátula de su nuevo disco, Rock and Roll Revolution. Fito Páez
presenta ese nuevo trabajo como «el álbum de un hombre que sabe lo
que quiere y que no, (...) es un disco de afirmaciones de puntos de
vista. (…) Es también una forma de contarle a mis hijos quién es
su padre, qué piensa y cómo actua en el mundo». Excelente
explicación que esa por el propio artista que decidió, junto a
Diego Olivero, ex integrante de Killer Burritos, recuperar el camino
del rock and roll. Y, de mi punto de vista, lo hicieron muy bien. Con
músicos de gran talento, grabaron el disco entre Buenos Aires y
Nueva York unos temas en cuales Fito pasa por todas las emociones,
del enojo al amor pasando por el bajón y la depresión. Lo cierto es
que nadie va a ser indiferente a ese Rock and Roll Revolution pero,
que les gustan o no, Fito, fiel a su personalidad, ya está listo
para afrontar cualquier critica...

Páez est l'un des artistes les plus importants du rock argentin et
latino américain. Cependant, impossible de parler de lui sans
évoquer une autre icône : Charly García. Son influence sur
Fito est telle que ce dernier lui a rendu hommage en choisissant en
plus l'une de ses photos comme couverture de son dernier album, Rock
and Roll Revolution. Fito Páez présente ce nouveau travail comme
«l'album d'un homme qui sait ce qu'il veut ou non, (…) c'est un
disque d'affirmations de points de vue (…) C'est également une
façon d'expliquer à mes enfants qui est leur père, ce qu'il pense
et comment il agit dans la vie». Excellente explication que celle-ci
par l'artiste lui-même qui a décidé, en compagnie de Diego
Olivero, ex membre de Killer Burritos, de revenir sur le chemin du
rock and roll. Et, de mon point de vue, il ont fait cela excellemment
bien. Entourés d'excellents musiciens, ils ont enregistrés entre
Buenos Aires et New York des chansons sur lesquelles Fito passe par
toutes les émotions, de la colère à l'amour en passant par le pire
et la dépression. Ce qui est sûr c'est que personne ne va être
indifférent à ce Rock and Roll Revolution mais, que vous aimiez ou
non, Fito, fidèle à sa personnalité, est déjà prêt pour
affronter toute critique...

Páez is one of the most important artist of the Argentine and Latin
Americano rock. However, you cannot talk about him without mentioning
another icon:Charly García. His influence on Fito is such that he
tributes him, more than the music, by choosing one of his photos on
the cover of it last album, Rock and Roll Revolution. Fito Páez
presents this new work as « the album of a man who knows what
he wants or not, (…) it's an affirmative points of view (…) it is
also a way to explain to my children who is their father, what he
thinks and how he acts in life ». Excellent explanation by the
artist himself who decided, with Diego Olivero, ex member of Killer
Burritos, to go back on the road of rock and roll. And, from my point
of view, they did it excellently. Surrounded by excellent musicians,
they recorded between Buenos Aires nd New York songs in which Fito go
through all emotions, from anger to love passing by the worst eand
depression. What is certain is that no one will be indifferent to
this Rock and Roll Revolution but, whether you like it or not, Fito,
true to his personality, is ready to face any criticism...
