Mapuche – Caryl Férey

Mapuche est, dans un premier temps, l'histoire d'une rencontre. Celle de Jana, jeune sculptrice mapuche passée par les cases exil et prostitution avant de s'accomplir en tant qu'artiste, et de Rubén, détective rescapé de la dictature qui voue sa vie autant que sa carrière à aider les Abuelas de la Plaza de Mayo. Les disparitions de Luz, ami travesti de Jana, et de Maria Victoria Campallo, jeune photographe et fille d'une puissante famille, vont réunir nos deux écorchés vifs. Leurs enquêtes vont non seulement les lier, mais également leur permettre de rouvrir les dossiers des disparus et leur donner la possibilité d'identifier leurs bourreaux jusqu'alors impunis. C'est ainsi que l'auteur en vient au cœur de ce roman : les blessures à vif de l'Argentine. Tout y passe, la crise financière de 2001-2002, la dictature, les tortures, les disparitions, l'asile de certains nazis après la Seconde Guerre Mondiale... Voilà toute la force de Mapuche, un thriller efficace dans lequel l'auteur nous raconte une Argentine authentique, loin des clichés de pampa des cartes postales. Il a cette force du peuple dont il porte le nom, ces indiens tirés à vue dans la pampa, et c'est très certainement pour cette raison qu'il est impossible de lâcher ce roman. Attention cependant, comme dans son Zulu, Caryl Férey n'épargne rien à ses lecteurs et la violence y est totalement assumée par l'auteur. Vous êtes avertis, Mapuche est incontournable....

La de Jana, joven escultora mapuche quien pasó por el exilio y la prostitución antes de realizarse como artista, y de Rubén, detective sobreviviente de la dictadura que dedica su vida tanto como su carrera en ayudar las Abuelas de la Plaza de Mayo. La desaparición de Luz, travestido amigo de Jana, y Maria Victoria Campallo, joven fotógrafa hija de una poderosa familia, van a reunir a nuestros dos heroes. Sus investigaciones no sólo les enlace, sino que también les permiten abrir nuevamente los casos de los desaparecidos tan como identificar a sus torturadores, impunidos hasta entonces. En consecuencia, el autor llega al corazón de esta novela : las heridas vivas de Argentina. Le pasa todo, las crisis financiera de 2001-2002, la dictadura, las torturas, las desapariciones forazadas, el asilo de algunos nazis después de la segunda guerra mundial.... Esto es la fuerza de Mapuche, un thriller eficaz en el que el autor nos cuenta una Argentina auténtica, lejos de los clichés. Tiene la fuerza del pueblo de su título, estos indios cazados en la pampa y, sin duda, es por eso que es imposible desprenderse de esta novela. Pero sin embargo, como en Zulú, caryl ferey no oculta nada a sus lectores y la violencia es totalmente asumida por el autor. Se advierte, es imposible pasar al lado de Mapuche...

Their investigations will not only link them, but also allow them to open another time the cases of the missing and give them the possibility to identify their torturer, unpunished until then. Accordingly, the author comes to the heart of this novel : the injuries of Argentina. The author talk about everything, the financial crisis of 2001-2002, the dictatorship, the tortures, the kidnappings, the asylul of some nais after the second world war... And this is the force of Mapuche, a great thriller in which the author tells us an authentic Argentina, far from the clichés of this country. The novel has the force of the people for which it is named, these Indians hunted in the Pampas, and it certainly is for this reason that ut is impossible to leave this novel before the end. Attention however, as in Zulu, Caryl Ferey says everything to its readers and the violence of the book is totally assumed by the author. You're warned, Mapuche is a must to read...
